Joined the Army in 1986, retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after 21 years. Held command positions at every officer rank, including Battalion Command. Combat veteran with the 101st Airborne Division during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Earned the Air Assault Badge, Combat Action Badge, Bronze Star Medal, and numerous other awards. Returned to coaching and teaching in 2007.
